TEMPE, AZ  —  The Princeton University Tigers prowl their way into Oceanside Ice Arena in Tempe for a two game series against the hosting Arizona State Sun Devils this weekend.

This will be ASU’s first Ivy League opponent of the season.

The Tigers are 5-6-1 with notable wins against Bemidji State (4-1) and Dartmouth (9-1), however, they are coming off a tough home loss to Ivy League opponent Harvard University (2-5) on Dec. 2nd.

The Sun Devils are coming off a solid performance at Holy Cross two weekends ago, a team that received several top-20 votes from the USCHO. ASU captured their first series win of the season behind a 3-1 win against the Crusaders on Friday and a 3-3 tie on Saturday.

Princeton defeated Holy Cross early in the season 4-2.

Practice was high paced and crisp on Tuesday. The players and coaches were in high spirits after the off weekend.

Johnny Walker continues to make waves in his freshman season in a Sun Devil jersey. He tallied a pair of goals against Holy Cross. Goalie Joey Daccord also continues to play well as he made 69 saves over the two games against the Crusaders.

ASU looks to end the calendar year on a high note as they face Colorado College on Dec. 16th and 17th in Colorado Springs. Puck drop for this weekend is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday night at Oceanside Ice Arena in Tempe, AZ.
