Kick Ass Spring Concert feat. What Laura Says & Matthew Reveles

It's that time of year again!

The Blaze 1260 AM is hosting its annual Kick Ass Spring Concert, a play on our call letters KASC.

This year we're very excited to have both What Laura Says and Matthew Reveles, two of our station's long-time favorite acts.

Music is starting up at 11:30AM on Hayden Lawn, just north of Hayden Library and will end at 1PM.

We'll have tons of giveaways, including gift cards to Changing Hands Bookstore, posters, stickers, EPs, and chances to win tickets to see either Dave Matthews Band, Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction, Def Leppard with Cheap Trick and Poison, Brian Regan, or No Doubt, and it's going to kick ass, obviously.

As always, be sure to tune in to The Blaze 1260 AM, 'cause we're you're best station for local music!

See y'all there!

Devils Look to Snap Streak in Seattle...LIVE ON THE BLAZE!

rudy.jpg

Dave's Dog Houses brings you ASU Football from Husky Stadium in Seattle!

Arizona State will attempt to end their 6 game losing streak this Saturday as the Sun Devils travel to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies.

Washington is the only team in the FBS that has yet to win a game this year. The Sun Devils, who have not won a game since September 6th, will look to get back on the winning track against a Washington team who will be without quarterback Jake Locker. This will be the first of the final four games that the Sun Devils must win in order to be bowl eligible.

Rudy Carpenter and the Sun Devils will look to exploit a Washington pass offense that is ranked 81st in the country, allowing over 208 yards per game. The Sun Devil's running game should put up big numbers as the Husky run defense ranks 114th in the country, allowing over 89 yards per game. Arizona State will look to improve on its 2-6 overall record, and 1-4 record in the Pac-10, while the Huskies will look to win their first game in exactly a year.

The Blaze 1260 will travel to Seattle for this game that you will be able to hear live brought to you by Dave's Dog House in Tempe! Josh Green, Michael West, and AJ Sturman will get things started with Countdown to Kickoff at 4:30, and Andrew Gruman, Drew Sexton, Mike Sackley will call the game live from Seattle at 5:00!

Check back here for updates over the weekend and for Sports Director Andrew Gruman's live blog from Seattle during the game!

Devils Head to USC...Catch the Action Live on The Blaze!

usc.jpg

After suffering their third straight loss on Saturday, the Arizona State Sun Devils travel to Los Angeles to take on the #8 USC Trojans. If history is any indication on how this game may turn out, then the Sun Devils may be in trouble as USC has lost only once in their past twenty-nine games at the Coliseum.

Both teams may be without their starting quarterbacks as Rudy Carpenter is listed as doubtful for ASU with a sprained ankle, and Mark Sanchez is listed as questionable for USC with a bruised knee. Both players will be a game-time decision. In the meantime, backup quarterbacks Danny Sullivan and Mitch Mustain are expected to start for ASU and USC respectively.

ASU will look to rebound after suffering a 24-14 loss to Cal, a game in which the Sun Devils rushed for 71 total yards. The Sun Devils will also look to avoid losing their fourth consecutive game as they have posted a 2-3 record on the season and a 1-3 record in the Pac-10. USC will look to improve on its 3-1 record and 1-1 record in the Pac-10.

You can hear the game live right here on the Blaze 1260 AM. Mike Sackley will kick things off with Countdown to Kickoff at 12, and Adam Ostrow and Todd Weber will call the game at 12:30.

Check back here for updates over the weekend and for Sports Director Andrew Gruman's live blog from Los Angeles during the game!
