After entering the week unranked for the first time this year, the Sun Devils are riding a two-game winning streak. ASU is coming off a big win after a 61-41 route of the Washington Huskies on Friday night. The Sun Devils improved to 11-1 at home on the season and will try to continue that same dominance.

The Pac-12 is tightly contested right now as the Sun Devils are tied for fourth place with No. 16 Oregon State. No. 24 Stanford stands tied for second with No. 9 UCLA for second place with both teams 9-2 in conference play. No. 6 Oregon still sits atop the standings at 10-1 in the Pac-12.

The match-up between ASU and Wazzou (10-13, 3-8) is the only meeting the two teams will have this season. The Cougars are coming off a win at Arizona on Friday where they were down by eight after the first quarter. However, WSU is only 3-6 in its nine games played since the new year began.

The Sun Devils have won the last six meetings and are 44-18 all-time against the Cougars. Washington State has not beaten ASU since the 2013-14 season.

The Cougars are led by Borislava Hristova. The redshirt sophomore from Varna, Bulgaria, is averaging over 18 points a game while shooting over 45 percent from the floor.

Redshirt junior Louise Brown is a force in the paint for Wazzou. The Melbourne, Australia-native is averaging 6.5 rebounds a game.

The team that is able to control the boards and come up with more rebounds is destined to come out on top in Sunday afternoon’s game. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. MT at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe and the game can be heard on Blaze Radio Online Mixlr with Shaun Salehi and Seth Askelson on the call.
