Preview: Everything you need to know about Innings Festival 2024

Concert goers and baseball fans are back for Innings Festival 2024’s sixth year in the valley, starting Feb. 23 with headlining performances by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Greta Van Fleet and Jimmy Eat World. The following day brings Hozier, Macklemore and Third Eye Blind.

For baseball fans, MLB legends including Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Luis Gonzalez and Dave Stewart will make appearances. There will also be baseball-themed events throughout the festival grounds. 

This year, another weekend named Extra Innings Festival has been added the following weekend on March 1-2 with headlining artists Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews Band and Noah Kahan, as well as more MLB legends. 

Gates will open at 12:30 p.m. each day and the festival will close at 11 p.m. each day.

Innings Festival 2024 will take place at Tempe Beach & Arts Park. The main entrance will be located at the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway. There will also be a second entrance located on West Rio Salado Parkway at the intersection with West Lakeside Drive. 

While there is no on-site parking at the festival, there are many parking lots near both entrances: 

  • Hayden Ferry Lakeside Parking Garage – 68 E. Rio Salado Parkway ($30 per day) 
  • 201 S. Ash Street Parking Garage – 201 S. Ash Ave. ($30 per day) 
  • Hayden Square West Lot – 430 S. Ash Ave. ($30 per day) 
  • The Beam – 333 S. Farmer Ave. ($20 per day) 
  • Hayden Square Garage (under the condos) – 154 W. 5th St. ($20 per day) 
  • Mission Palms – 281 S. Mill Ave. ($20 per day) 

There will be multiple road closures the week of Innings Festival:

  • West Rio Salado Parkway Westbound – closed Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 8 a.m. until Sunday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. 
  • West Rio Salado Parkway Eastbound – closed Friday, Feb. 23 at 8 a.m. until Sunday, Feb. 25 at 5 a.m. 
  • East Rio Salado Parkway – closed daily from 8 a.m-11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24. 
  • North Mill Avenue – closed daily from 10:30 a.m.-11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24.

Rideshare for pickup or drop off is located at 222 Mill Ave. or at South Hardy Drive near the intersection with West Rio Salado Parkway. Bike valet will be located west of the main entrance, near the roundabout at the corner of East Rio Salado and West Rio Salado Parkway. 

Fares on the Valley Metro for the Light Rail and local bus are $2 for one ride or $4 for one day. You can purchase at a fare vending machine at rail stations, on board the bus or at a retail location. For more information, click here

Attendees can use the Mill Avenue/3rd Street Light Rail station to get to and from Innings Festival. The bus offers service with stops adjacent to Tempe Beach Park. Route 48 serves Tempe Beach Park with the nearest stop at Ash Avenue/Rio Salado Parkway.
