Coachella announced its lineup on Wednesday with Green Day, Post Malone, Lady Gaga and Travis Scott headlining.
The festival is located in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Club. Throughout the past 25 years, it has developed from a two-day festival in mid-October to a three-day, two-weekend festival in mid-April.
One of the first artists to be announced was Post Malone on Nov. 19, when he posted two dates for “The Big Ass Stadium Tour” in Indio which will take place during the third day of the festival.
On Nov. 18, a day before Post Malone’s announcement, Coachella’s Instagram was updating its page by taking down previous posts and story highlights. On Nov. 20, Coachella announced the lineup on its social media.
On Friday, attendees can expect to see dance-pop singer Lady Gaga as the headliner along with other acts, including hip-hop singer Missy Elliott, pop singer Benson Boone, Afropop singer Tyla, indie rock band Djo and more.
On Saturday, fans can see pop-punk band Green Day headlining, along with acts like electro-pop singer Charli XCX, punk band the Misfits featuring the original members, bedroom pop singer Clairo and the K-pop group ENHYPEN.
On Sunday, attendees can expect to see singer Post Malone headlining, with various artists, including rapper Megan Thee Stallion, K-pop solo act JENNIE, indie pop singer beabadoobee and DJ Zedd.
It is unknown what day Travis Scott will perform, as he is labeled at the bottom of the lineup poster as “Designs the Desert.” Last year, the ska punk band No Doubt was also in the same position on the poster as Travis Scott, but did not have a special title, and they were labeled as “And ….” No Doubt performed on Saturday before the headliner Tyler, The Creator last year.
