The mainstream decided to hand the week over to the underground when it came to releasing new music. Here are the highlights from this past week’s music releases.
Without any mention of new music, Paris Texas dropped a surprise EP titled “They Left Me With The Sword.” The 19-minute project comes just two weeks into the band’s tour as an opening act for Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia World Tour.
The feud between the East and West coasts continued to brew as Joey Bada$$ stirred the pot on “Pardon Me.” This is his third single to release this year with the highlight being “The Ruler’s Back,” where he seemed to be unamused by the amount of praise that Kendrick Lamar is receiving.
One of underground music’s most prevalent artists, Eem Triplin, released his debut record “Melody Of A Memory.” The album features 13 bouncy tracks that showcase his ability to write catchy hooks while flowing smoothly over DJ Dahi’s production.
Quickly, quickly continues to build hype around his upcoming album with the release of its second single “Raven.” His sophomore record “I Heard That Noise” releases on April 18 and will be his first since 2021.
