On the first night of February, Slander brought electrifying bass, dynamic house hits, and an unforgettable visual show to the Rawhide Event Center in Chandler.
Redline started the night at 6 p.m. with an energetic drum and bass set. Next up, Vctre and Copycatt brought a fun mix of melodic dubstep and even house-inspired tracks to the stage. Moody Good back-to-back with Chee, brought a bass-set influenced with rap, trap, and even Latin music. Kai Wachi brought a bass-filled mood shift to the night with his dubstep tracks. And of course, the iconic EDM duo Slander ended the night with a sea of people crooning along to hits such as “Love is Gone,” with mesmerizing lights and lasers flooding the room, and an eclectic mix of familiar tracks and new remixes.
The show, something of a cross between a smaller EDM show and full-out festival, brought thousands out. Many attendees were fully decked out in rave wear: pashminas, sprout clips, glowing toys and clothing, and neon fishnets flooded the floors. Many others chose comfort for the more lowkey, winter show: flannel, sweatpants, and joggers could be seen across the stage. All night, attendees were head banging, shuffling, flowing, and otherwise dancing their hearts out at Slander Arizona.

“My sound has a lot of 90s R&B and hip-hop influence, dubstep, of course, bass music,” Copycatt said to describe his sound. (Pedro Rojo/Blaze Radio)
