The 2025 Grammy Ceremony took over the music industry this past week after many notable moments; Beyoncé won album of the year with “COWBOY CARTER,” Kendrick Lamar swept all five categories that “Not Like Us” was nominated for (including record and song of the year), while Chappell Roan took home the award for best new artist. Despite a relatively quiet week for new music, here are the highlights.
Shortly after winning rap album of the year, Doechii celebrated the victory by dropping a single titled “Nosebleeds.” The self-proclaimed swamp princess predicted her own victory rapping, “everybody wanted to know what Doechii would do if she didn’t win… I guess we’ll never [know],” an obvious reference to Kanye’s 2005 rap album of the year acceptance speech.
Lady Gaga released the track “Abracadabra” after debuting it with a Mastercard commercial during the Grammys. The song will act as the third single from her upcoming album “MAYHEM,” releasing on March 7.
