Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump faced off on September 10 for a televised debate. The debate was hosted on ABC News and took place at the National Constitution Center in Pennsylvania, a key swing state in the upcoming race. This was the first time either candidate had met each other, and after a handshake between the two, they wasted no time digging into their opponent’s policy platform.

PHOENIX- Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport around 12:30 p.m. on September 10. The Harris-Walz campaign held a rally at the Centennial Hall in Mesa, Arizona. Walz spoke on healthcare, opportunity and the Democratic party’s underdog status. As the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Walz’s stop in Phoenix is just part of a series of speaking events in what the party calls a “tour of the Sun Belt states”.

Week one of the college football season is underway and fans got to witness plenty of spectacular performances. Boise State's Ashton Jeanty had 256 yards and a school-record six touchdowns, Cam Ward dazzled in his first game at Miami and Colorado’s Travis Hunter flashed his two-way prowess against North Dakota State. Arguably, the best showing this week came out of Arizona and highly-touted wideout Tetairoa McMillan. He was a force to be reckoned with against New Mexico racking up 300 yards and four touchdowns on 10 grabs. He also had a multitude of 70-yard touchdowns to go along with it.

DARLINGTON, S.C. - Darlington Raceway gave race fans a nail-biting finish that saw Chase Briscoe of Mitchell, Indiana, hold off two-time series champion Kyle Busch on a late race restart to win the Southern 500. New teams in new conferences and a new playoff system are starting this year. However, there still lies something at the core of college football, the players.
